Team Green World integrates STEAM learning with stewardship toward the earth.
Scientists agree that Earth’s ecosystems are imperiled by human pressures. Concerns about quality of life for future generations motivate parents, educators and scientists alike to create programs that: 1) improve science literacy in current and future generations, and 2) foster stewardship to protect and conserve nature. Related is the struggle in public schools to raise the performance of American students in reading, math and science.
Education leaders recognize that new learning and thinking skills will be required to help students successfully enter developing job markets. To foster development of these skills, the National Education Association (NEA) has incorporated the arts into STEM emphasizing “STEAM” education that unleashes creativity and promotes innovation.
